Listed below are some of the Renaissance Nutrition experts we deal with on a regular basis.
DR. TOM BASS has worked for Renaissance since April of 2000, where his job responsibilities include all manners of veterinary and nutritional technical service to Renaissance clients, distributors and district managers across 28 states. He received a BS in Animal Science/Biology from Virginia Tech, and his doctorate in veterinary medicine (DVM) from the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine. From this point he went on to complete his residency in large animal clinical nutrition at the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine and completing his PhD in nutrition at the same institution. His dissertation focused on vitamin E supplementation in cattle during late gestation.
MR. IAN SHIVAS hails from Ontario, Canada, where he received his degree in Dairy Science. He has worked with numerous dairy/ag companies in Canada prior to joining the Renaissance team. Mr. Shivas has done research on a variety of feed-related subjects and presented scientific information to organizations globally. His command of the CPM and modeling ration programs is unexcelled, along with in depth knowledge of forage utilization in dairy rations and related nutrition, digestibility, and much more.
MR. STEVE MASSIE came to Renaissance with experience in the feed industry as an outstanding nutritionist, primarily working in Ohio. He has both a BS and an MS in Animal Science and Dairy Nutrition from The Ohio State. Mr. Massie has a thorough understanding of dairy nutrition, cow comfort and farm management, and has worked extensively with the CPM ration program. His understanding and knowledge of dairy farming and nutrition is a real asset to dairy producers. He currently serves as the Western Regional Manager for Renaissance.
